DUBLIN 1-13 CORK 0-7
Thank God for an end to winter football as the Dubs excelled under lights in Parnell Park on Saturday night. In a blistering opening 25 minutes a Sherlock inspired Dublin raced to a 0-07 to no score start. Jayo retired with an injury, hopefully not too serious, but Dublin remained the best of the two teams until the final whistle. Bryan Cullen outshone Ger Spillane as the best CHB on show, Keaney and Mossy back to form with Henno outstanding in defence. Dublin eased off and Cork picked up a few late scores which hopefully will not come to haunt us when places in Div. 1 for next year are finalised.
