Dublin v. Kerry - NFL Result

Dublin fans wait in expectation before the big game

DUBLIN 2-7 KERRY 1-12

Dublin's long run in Division 1 came to an end on Easter Sunday against the All-Ireland champions. A battling performance capped by a point of the season from Jason Sherlock was not enough on a day which saw the return of the Gooch to Kerry. Jayo's score followed a fluid move from one end of the field to the other and was the bright moment of the day with special mention also of Paul Casey who made himself available to score a goal and haul the Dubs back into contention. But alas it will be Division 2 in 2008 with games against Armagh, Westmeath,Meath, Cavan, Cork, Monaghan and 1 other on the cards. Work to do before the Championship, yes, but the noise of the crowd through the game showed that the 16th man is alive and well and looking forward to backing the boys in blue come the Summer.
