NFL - Dublin 0-14 Galway 1-14

Dublin 0-14 Galway 1-14

It looked so good for the Dubs. Fast out of the blocks to lead five one but ultimately it ended in tears as Galway took home the spoils & dealt a terminal blow to Dublin’s final hopes. Indeed the Dubs would fail to take any further scores in the 1st period & the Tribesmen went in at half time 1-07 to 0-05 ahead, the goal from Fiachra Breathnach.

The Boss must have gone through the Dubs at half time as they lifted their game. With just over 10 minutes to go Dublin had pulled it level and when Declan Meehan was sent off it was looking rosy. But Galway rallied kicking points at the end of the game to do the damage. Dublin might look to missed goal opportunities early on with only a goal between them at the final whistle. So much disappointment and even a win in Omagh now won’t guarantee the Dubs a final berth.
