Dublin v. Offaly - SFC - Match Report

Dublin 1-12 Offaly 0-10

At 4:15 the ran fell to dampen the spirits and although the Blues played some sublime football for the 1st 15 minutes in reality the game was a damp squib. Dublin showed the results of teh battles against Meath but never looked like losing. The game also featured an own goal from Offaly with an Alan Brogan fisted effort across the goal knocked in by the unfortunate Offaly defender Joe Quinn. However it is onwards and upwards for the Dubs with the Leinster final down for July 15. A special congratulatory message to the Brogan family who saw brothers Alan and Bernard start a championship game for the 1st and certainly not the last time.

Brogan needs his vision to improve for the Leinster Final! I think he did see the players but he wanted points to his name because he got only 1 point in the Meath replay. Vaughan had another good game and it's good to see a solid midfield with even a rare point form Whelan.McConnell is shaping up to be a good center-back but it would be great to paddy christie back in defence.Collie Moran should be moved to half-back as he is a brilliant ball carrier with good vision but he cant kick a point.Cosgrove did good and it would be great to see him get a bit more paying time.Jayo had an impact the minute he came on and is badly missed but he should be starting for the Leinster Final
