Dublin 1-11 Tipperary 1-20
The scoreline hardly reflects the reality that for 3/4 of the game Dublin really put it up to Tipp and but for some poor misses and a penaly claim denied this would have been much closer. On the 43rd minute Peadar Carton knocked ina s uperb goal to put the Blues ahead and force Tipp into action. Babs will be pleased with the 1-05 unanswered Tipp subsequently put on the board but Dublin's game has improved and the experience of playing the Munster men over recent weeks can only stand to them. One can only ponder how close Dublin would have come this year but for the extraordinary number of injuries to key players experienced. However, it's Offaly next and an opportunity for the Jacks to send a message for the future.
